SVA and handbrake rules?
I know that the handbrake must achieve 18% braking or lock up....
But does that 18% have to occur in a certain amount of handbrake travel?
I can get the wheels to lock up but it requires a fair movement of the lever (90% movement to lock the wheels)....Is that going to be acceptable?

Should be fine- IIRC there's nothing saying at one stage of throw it has to happen. Certainly on my car you have to hoick it up quite a lot to
get significant stoppage and it passed SVA fine.

MOT rules state that the handbrake must not be at maximum travel. I imgaine SVA would be the same.
