2 forms of security
I've forgotten about this one and only have an immobiliser fitted. I presume even though it works on two seperate circuits it does not count as
2 forms of security?
So, if I fit a battery cut-off does it have to be in the cockpit, or can it be under the bonnet (which would be much simpler to fit).

Do you not have some sort of key (ignition) or steering lock?

yep just to echo twybrow, the integral steering lock + ignition key can count as immobilisation devices. Anything that stops your car from just being
driven away.

I have an immobiliser and cut off under the bonnet.
One of the devices must not be operable from the driver seat I believe.

No steering lock or key??? Does that mean you just disable immobilser, press start and vroom vroom?
Ref not operating one from drivers seat - not true for SVA (not sure for IVA). Both of mine are within easy reach of driver. If you rely on std key
and steering lock - both of those are accessible from drivers position.

I passed with a battery cutt off switch under the bonnet(this particular one has to be out of reach of the driver as it is independant of the ign key,
steering lock is linked to the keys and cannot be operated without turning the engine off.) and a key that just switches ignition live, start button
is a Savage item.

Just watch out with FIA style cut off switches. Some testers havn't accepted them as security because all the keys are the same. Plenty of
others have passed though.

Mad isn't it - can't claim any creative input though, nicked it from another forum ....
Will take my chances with the cut off switch key, doing anything else is just a pain....
