Come on, DVLA!

SVA passed on 16 March then straight to DVLA with all forms and money. Cheque was cashed on the 19th.
STILL waiting for the V5, tax disc and no. plate permit

Took 2 weeks for mine, so I expect you'll get it in the next few days...

Made a right fuss when I was there as I was promised on the phone that it would be sorted there and then.

Got mine over the counter 5 minutes after they took the cash.

No reason to have wait IMO

I went to the local DVLA office in Ipswich for mine. Everything was OK apart from me not having a bit of paperwork to hand. He had to check on the computer before he could issue it - I got the disc a day or two later.

Took 5 weeks in my case (and an official complaint)... If something is hard to do they just ignore it IMHO.

Unless you make it more difficult for them to ignore it (ie get DVLA Swansea breathing down their neck)....

...so I rang the 0870 number on Wednesday, gave details and was told that Exeter DVLA would call me within 2 hours.
They did! (Well, 2 1/2 hours later at 5:15 pm) Very helpful chap 'thought it had been sent out the previous day' but would call again in the morning to confirm or otherwise.
Thursday morning, he called to say the tax and no. plate permit had been sent out Wednesday evening. What a coincidence that they sent the paperwork the same evening that I spoke with them - and the best part of two weeks after the cheque was cashed

So I now live in hope that postie will deliver it this morning (Friday), cos I've lost two days already.

Watch this space, as they say...
