Fog Light warning

Am I right in saying that you need a warning light to show when the fog light is on? At the moment I have a Savage switch (never again - bloody awful things) and it lights when I put all the lights on, not just when the fog light comes on ....

Yes there has to be some form of visual indication that the foglight is on.

Although they must be bloody well hidden on modern production cars given the no of cars I follow that still have their foglights on days or even weeks after the last hint of fog.

IIRC the Fog and brake fluid warning (hand brake warning) lights must also have the appropriate symbols.

For IVA they all have to have symbols.
For SVA I think brake fluid warning is the only mandatory symbol (there is no requirement for any sort of handbrake warning - it's just a convenient way to test the brake fail warning bulb as far as the rules are concerned).
