Are you going to Brum? You'll be fine - as long as they can test it, you get your fail sheet like 90% of us, and all will be well. Just make sure it works, and won't blow up before it gets there...! Have you checked your cooling system, as it takes a bit of a pounding on the test (emissions testing for example)?

Yep its off to Brum, and have heard good things about them so thats okay. Am going to run it for a while this weekend to check the cooling etc, but think it should be okay, may well trailer it to the test as i have the option, would have been nice to have driven it though.

I wanted to drive, but opted to trailer it to guarantee a test - I did drive it some of the way home though....!

Brum were great last week. I can't praise them enough - the tester was willing the car on to a pass!

as above mate. make sure cooling is good. my 5jj R1 had major overheating problem as my fan failed me before noise test. 10,000 RPM STATIONARY! not good. also was running lean so it was running hot!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement, i really need to get my ass in gear.
I agree that this is only a hobby, but its like spawning a little one, you just want it to do well, and be a good reflection on you as the builder.
Part of me is well excited to, i'll hopefully out at the South Brum meets later in the year!!
only 8 years in the making.
