SVA retest pass - Chadderton today

Our Indy passed its retest with flying colours today at Chadderton - I think we were in the test lane for all of a bout 5 minutes!

We also attempted to register at leeds in person so we could have it on the road this weekend, but alas they werent having any of it.........proper circus at leeds DVLA I tell ya.

They now want a receipt for the original purchase of the kit in order to be able to assign an age related plate even though we have evidence of donour (Surely all that matters for age related?).

Anyway, should be registered in time for next weekend, fingers x'd!

Well done.

I recently had the same problem with DVLA Aberdeen, I had to provide a letter from manufacturer stating the components they supplied were new. I took the letter in and they gave me my reg number cert in 15 mins.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

Well done on the pass!
Re the age related plate. I got a form which carried a point for each major component used from the donor such as transmission, one point, engine, one point etc. You need 8 points (from memory) and you can't get all those from the donor, but you get 5 points for a new manufacturer's chassis, hence the reciept request.
In my case, I was the manufacturer so I provided a reciept for the new steel.
Hope that helps!

Ah cool, nice to meet you........both myself and my dad were surprised at how calm you were considering your situation - I'd have been fuming! Mind you, helps being just round the corner unlike us.

That points thing makes sense, I've 'obtained' a receipt from MK for the original kit and posted it yesterday.
