fuel hose invoice - WANTED ;)

Hi,

I had fuel hose fitted into my car (naval stuff apparently) but the invoice has gone missing proving its made for fuel.

I have the SVA in a few weeks and was hoping someone might have an invoice for grey rubber fuel hose rather than me have to buy a load and not fit it, or rip it out unnessisarily.

Normally I'd just buy it, but lost my job last week and got no money coming in.

The fuel pump has just died on me, so have to buy that from my rapidly depleating funds, and can;t afford to buy a load of hose I don't actaully need!

A colour scan would be great, as I'll print it off in colour.

Can't help with the invoice, but isn't the hose itself marked up 'fuel' the stuff I bought recently is, about every 300mm.

Its an R1 (carbed) fuel pump, but anything with same OD input/output considered

unfortunatly nope! Thats the problem.

It is 100% for fuel, but is for a boat, so doesn't have the markings.

i had fuel hose marked in german (pretty obviously saying fuel even for non-bilinguals but it failed on it. had to buy new hose that "clearly states" it is for fuel.

some test stations seem to let an invoice fly but i had to bring in a sample of old german one but use new uk marked fuel line

best to let you know now save you maybe having to strip down later.......

How big is the hose?

I bought a length of fuel injection hose from Halfrauds on Saturday, but it's the wrong size.

So I have a 1 m length of 9.5mm internal diameter fuel hose, and a matching receipt you can have if it's any good to you?

Mike

I also have a spare ZZR fuel pump.

I took it off earlier this year, after it refused to work.

I have just stripped it down, run a bit of emery paper around the terminals, and a shot of WD40 inside it, and flashed it across a battery.

It's working on demand at the moment.

Again, if you need / want it, it's your's.

No guarantee, warantee or money back on this one though!

Probably best to fit it somewhere accessible!

Let me know mate.

Mike

Andy

It's an electric Facet one - don't know if it's any use to you - but it's yours if you want it.

that's a v8 special. had to get a replacement for my landy a while back............
that will deliver fuel unough for the kit.

ps, i fitted a 1 way flow valve just past the pump so the pump did not tick over and pump too long to fill the pipe and filter before it could start..............
