urgent advise needed
Hi Guys I have not been on here for a few years sinces I sold my Mk indy, well I am going back into the 7 world I am looking for a car engine
seven.
Advise needed I have veiwed a westfield today that fits the criteria perfectly, apart from a couple of issues.
1st its a Q plate what issues are there wiyh q plate other than value.
2nd its is reportedly registered in 1998 & it states that on the logbook it is on the logbook as a westfield 2 seater softop.
when i asked the seller about sva he said its is pre sva, I am sure that sva came in before this reg date, so i suspect it may be dodgy.
The problem is its the car for me. any advise would be appreciated especally ref pre sva dates ETC

I would assume that as it says Westfield on the reg doc it's likely to be legit? Sorry can't help with the date that SVA came in but I
don't think it was that early.

If I remember correctly SVA came in 2000.
Q plate cannot be changed.
I personally think kitcars values are on condtion/features rather than their age.
And a big plus the don't seem to depreciat much if looked after.

SVA started in 1998...but I don't know which month......
I wouldn't be too happy with the 'soft top' description on the V5.....it's an OTS (Open Top Sports)..surely?.....But then I
suppose I am a bit fussy....

Edit to add...the SVA came to be on the.. 1st May 1998 ......

I think you're right, it was 1998 that SVA came in, with some of the rules on projections held off untill Jan 2000. My car was SVAd in 99.
However, if it correctly registered, there should be no problems.
Mine also happens to be a Q. It should have had an age related plate, but the DVLA cocked up the paperwork and when I queried it, was told that
I'd have to wait a couple of weeks to get on the road if they took another look. As I wasn't bothered about resale value, I stuck with the
Q - it does mean that emissions are tested to "visible smoke" only during MOTs, so should I re-engine it, I don't need to worry
about emissions.
