Just a quick question, do you need an MOT before you go for IVA.

NO but if you do you need an MOT every Year. Instead of 3 years MOT free.
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

No, you are not allowed to drive car before IVA (only to IVA), then you don't need a MOT for 3 years.

Well that's how it's supposed to be - BUT you'd better check with your local DVLA as some require an MOT.

The MAC certificate is the MOT then you get 3 years without, however the localDVLA office can askfor an MOT ever year if they so wish

How can a DVLA office ask for an MOT every year "if they wish"?
And the question is not aimed at the posters
There cannot be local rules on this, but if the national rule is being ignored or interprted incorrecly then this should be challeged, with a sharp
brick
