Can you pass IVA with a boot Tonneau fitted?
As above, is it possible to pass an IVA with a tonneau fitted over the boot? Its not there to hide anything in the boot area that wouldn't
pass.

Probably not as the fasteners used may not meet the radius test. I was advised to leave all weather gear until after the test. This was mainly down to
press studs on the screen frame though, it could be different for things at the rear. I'm sure someone will come along with a deffinate
answer.....

sorry Paul my fuel filler IS covered by tonneau...
for the reason that fuel is not allowed to be able to spill into passenger compartment.
I had to remove the tonneau enough for the tester to see the filler cap,but that was all

I was going to cover mine with a tonneau but velcro'd on (unless that would be an IVA failure in which case who suggested that stupid idea?).
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I was under the impression that luggage compartments needed a lockable cover. If that's true then maybe it depends on whether there is actually
a boot under the tonneau or if it's just an open area?
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list-- I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

I failed on the SVA as the cover was "Soft" got told to put Wood under it and it would be OK
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

I know you don't need a lockable area. Also my filler is in the rear panel with the hose boxed around in the boot where it bends from the
filler to the rear panel.
Cheers for the advise

Ditto. My filler cap also just screws on and when I asked my SVA tester about it needing to be lockable he told me that the wording was
"secure" and to him that meant "won't fall off".
The more I think about it, the nicer my tester was!
