Just a non-SVA'd MK with Westfield v5c isn't it?

It was the mk demo car.
Think about it, think about it again and then do it.

Sounds like Triggers brush. Had the same brush for years and still going strong... just had 6 new handles and 5 new heads!

Colour WHITE
Engine size 1600cc
Year 08/06/1989
So no its not a Dutton! Doesnt really clear anything up though does it.

It was in total kit car too with a 2.0 pinto and it was black then, sure that the first MK demo the red metalic one was a dutton.
I think that white one is on the dvd that complete kit car gave away.

Interesting to note the seller's additional comment recently added to the description
Still blatantly overlooking the fact the car is not registered correctly and hasn't been SVA'd. There's real potential here for a
buyer to get caught out with an illegal car on the road not to think about possible insurance implications

Does it matter who's chassis it is?
from DVLA:
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vehicles that have been rebuilt using a mix of new or used parts
In order to retain the original registration mark:
•cars and car-derived vans must use:
The original unmodified chassis or unaltered bodyshell (i.e. body and chassis as one unit - monocoque); or a new chassis or monocoque bodyshell of the
same specification as the original supported by evidence from the dealer or manufacturer (e.g. receipt).

It's not a question of who made the chassis, it's a question of whehter or not it has had an SVA or IVA test. The only reason for using
the registration from another car is to either commit fruad, or avoid the test.

Exactly my point, the rebuild chassis would need to be done using an identical Westfield supplied chassis with proof from Westfield.

My point again, the car in question doesn't appear to have been SVA'd in 2004 when it was in fact built as a completely different car with
another manufacturer's chassis and suspension components and a different engine and gearbox.
The car cannot be legal as it stands and leave some unwitting buyer open to all sorts of grief down the line

I actually went to look at this car myself - it's not in bad fettle. He didn't say to me it was a Westy but that the engine had come out
of one and dropped in an MK as first owner didn't want to spend the money on another Westfield chassis.
I agreed a price with him then uncovered something that the seller failed to tell me which when confronted with he said he had forgotten to. 2 weeks
prior to me seeing the car, it had had an engine transplant. Typical Blackbird prob of No. 3 going pop. I therefore pulled out of the sale on the
grounds of misinformation.
Take a look on is ebay profile, the last item he bought is a 2002 Blackbird injection motor.
At no point did he outline what has been uncovered throughout this thread though i.e. the HPI check reporting it as a Westfield when it's
clearly an MK.

It's back again, saying it was taken off because ebay thought he wanted to swap it.
