No Spanish reg for my Locost..
..not without heavy modification. This would include fitting a catalytic converter, new seat belts (CE marked), fitting a mechanical reverse (any car
needs one here, and it has to take the power from the main engine), and possibly others related to lights (not sure the lights are high enough).
I got an interview with the "man in charge" and he showed me the applicable rules, I went to see him with a frined of him who has been
assisting me with legal stuff recently. Which basically means that this time the information I got is reliable and accurate.
I found a club here called "Club Seven", lots of Caterhams with UK reg, so I'm now investigating how to keep the UK reg
Cheers,
Alex

I didn't think the Spanish really gave a sh$t about health and safety.
Ahah! The power of the EU!

reverse is expensive 750£ for the reversertron bec gearbox +two new propshafts.... and this is from the country that let quad bikes ride on hard
surfaces with a solid axle! (Z cars are a good source of bec specialist equipment.)
Got a web site cant remember it of the top of my head.

You are right James, but when there's documents involved (you know with an official stamp or signature), things get hairy here as well. Nobody
gives a f about anything but nobody will risk their arse if they can avoid it!
Yes I know Zcars but I don't think I'll be considering that for now. I may install a reverse light (with a switch) and try like that. I
reckon they wouldn't have noticed because it's only the light that is checked (not having a reverse is sooo strange here). But
there's plenty of other mods to worry about I'm sure. I'll see what can be done.. but I want the car on the road again first
