westfield race chassis

Hi guys,
First post on here been been viewing for a while.
Currently after a Westfield to use as a track car and some development work on.

Reason i post here is I've had a Quick search around but not found out what I need regarding IVA'ing a Westfield race chassis.

Firstly what are the differences between a race chassis and road chassis and can you pass a IVA with a race chassis?

Thanks
Mike

i thought that Westfield will never supply a race chassis for road cars.

The race chassis is made of thinner wall steel and hence it is very easy to damage on road cars.

There was an issue with a race chassis that ended up being on the road and ended up back in westfield for repairs as it broke.

I am sure though someone will come along and explain things better

Thanks that's interesting, Was just wondering if they can be IVA'ed as an option.
TBH i would much prefer a chassis that is already IVA'ed haha

Tread very carefully here

My understanding is that the Westfield race chassis was Never designed for road use and
a couple of years ago a lad who had been using one on the road discovered 'a few' cracks and there was
a big uproar about it on the WSCC boardroom and the factory got involved

The road chassis has had its issues (mainly around the Diff carrier) but the Race one in this instance was not good at all

Yes I have seen that and asked a few questions. just trying to get an idea of cost and work involved for IVA. would prefer to get one already registered tbh. just not fussed on an engine as I will be sorting this end.

I've only ever seen two SVA / IVA chassis for sale and missed them both by minutes.

How about an older registered pinto / crossflow powered car and modify?

Yes possible. just want a good condition and spec, fully independent chassis.
was looking as early ones due to the chassis usually being in better nick!

also mk indy and strikers...
just a matter of finding something that fits the bill...

Good find.... emailed also... a little bit more than I wanted to spend for a rolling chassis but sound to be pretty good spec and a good base to stick a mental engine in ...
