SVA form - a couple of questions

I'm just filling out my SVA application and have got a couple of queries:

Q11: Date of Manufacture/First Registration - What do I put for this? It's obviously never been registered before so what do I put for the date of manufacture? Shall i just make something up around the time I picked up my kit?

Q17: Proof of engine manufacture year - I've heard mention of having to contact Ford to get this info, does anyone have a contact number? Also, am I likely to have problems because my engine was reconditioned 3 years ago or does it go on original date of manufacture?

Thanks in advance,

Pete

you will have to write to ford if you want written proof of the engine age.

Is the registration document from the donor vehicle sufficient proof of an engine's age?

Pete

Hi Pete....
I'm going to take service history book from blade engine and it has reg date and number on it....fingers crossed thats enough...july 95 it says...just before rules of aug 95 on stricter emisions..

date of manufacture...I have put august 2004...I sent mine off last week.I took it as being whole thing manufactured(built/nearly finished date for form)

I wouldn't have thought so, the engine might not be the original, with a bike the engine and chassis numbers relate to each othe so that could work,

Q11. I put down the date that the bloke from the DVLA came round to issue me the VIN number.

Age of engine, I'm hoping to get away with a copy of the data sheet
