IVA - VIN number question
In the IVA manual, section 18 “Statutory Plates” point 15 states –
Use of the letter I, the letter O, the letter Q, dashes, asterisks and other special signs are not permitted (see note 9)
So no letter “O”? If so then I need a different VIN number before I stamp my chassis.
Anyone got experience of this?

If you have an 'O' in the VIN, just say it is a '0' (zero)
Why do you need a different one 'before' you stamp your chassis. Where is the current VIN if its not already stamped?

I was given a VIN number by the manufacture (Sylva) and it is on a ali plate riveted to the car. That can be replaced easily enough though. I just
wanted to make sure before stamping the chassis.

If its a letter o that can easily be a number 0, so dont worry too much.
Do be carefully stamping your chassis tho, the force can often deform the tube, engraving is usually the better option, or stamp a seperate peice of
steel and weld it to the chassis.
