DVLA forms
Reading the topic by b3ngy I think I may have filled in the wrong DVLA form.
I filled out V55/4 as it mentioned kit cars. I used a single donor vechicle so was hoping for the age related plate. I also filled out the V627/1 form
and put down my donor vechicle.
Can anyone advise if I have filled out the wrong form and if so what I can do about it considering I stuck in the North Sea at the moment??
I was hoping to have my registration for when I got home to try and get 6 months driving in 2 weeks!!

Yeah, you need 55/5. I made the same mistake, the website is very misleading. 
The only ray of hope I can give is that the two forms are virtually identical, and there was no extra information on the /5 that wasn't on the
/4. So if a human being was dealing with it, they ought to be able to work it out and put it through correctly. I'd try getting in touch with
them and seeing if you can get through to the department which deals with it.
Also, order the /5 pack straightaway, so that it's there asap if you do need to do it all again.

Although not much help for you.
When I requested a chassis number from the DVLA I got sent both the required forms
V55/5 and V627/1
So I guess they are trying to make process easier....maybe

Neil,
Any news on your registration?? I've only just seen this thread but if you need to redo your application with v55/5 get on and order it quick. I
have just waited 19 days for my forms to reach me. It took 3 phone calls and 3 requests for the forms!

How many carbon copies are with your v55/5 form. Mine appears to only be two pieces including the one you write on also the carbon copy only seems to
be on page 1 not page 2.
Is that the same as yours?

They are processing it. The annoying part is I had both forms but one said new builds including kit cars (V55/4) and the other for rebuilds (V55/5).
I'm just pleased they are processing it and hopefully I will have it this week as I'm away back offshore on Tuesday!!

Yeh it's very confusing, fingers crossed it goes through ok.
Quick question. How did you pay?? Cheque?? or can you do it online?? Sending my forms tomorrow.

Ben I paid by cheque, not sure if you can do it online. I sent mine Royal Mail Special Delivery as advised on here and when I phoned up to see what
was happening they asked for my tracking number straight away.

The only reason I asked is because I wasnt sure I even had a cheque book lol. Turns out I do! Mines being posted now by special delivery.
