Can anyone let me know at what year manufacture do you have to have a cat on the blade engine to pass sva

There are two models in 95 am I right in saying that its the the early model that is ok and the later model that needs the cat

That's correct Kev - it's not what year the model is it is the year the engine was manufactured. Our's was manufactured early '95 and escaped the stringent emmisions test. Get in touch with Honda with your engine number - they will relieve you of £30 or so for the certificate of compliance, which you will need for the SVA if you are to escape like we did.

Thought it was 1st August 1995 onwards which needs Cat.
