Wing Mirror Height
I've got an awful feeling that I've mounted my wing mirrors too low. The bottom of the mirror is higher that the top of the rear arch,
but not much. The result is that I can see backwards clearly enough but I can't see the floor at all. Is this a potential SVA fail?

Possibly a fail - the tester has to be able to see a mark on the road a set distance behind the car.

Its a fairly involved process of working out what needs to be seen. I'm just in the middle of trying to do the test myself prior to SVA (fail)

Mirrors
Hi
I had my retest yesterday and the 1 of the original fails was mirror of view.
I had to use the mirrors from MAC1 in the end which I beleive are from a CBR600 and mounted them 750mm high to the bottom of the mirror and this
passed no probs.
You will need a convex mirror as my original ones were flat and they had no hope.
The test at Southampton is what they call a short test as it is done inside and the markings on the wall are adjusted to suit the height of the
mirrors.
A quick test is to park your tin top on the drive see what you can see out of both mirrors mark the spot and then repeat with the kit and compare.
Hope this helps
Keith
