Engine Numbers - Ford
Right Ok....got my engine numbers off using my new top trick wd40! makes them stand out like a sore thumb! So now I gotta write a letter and send it
to ford euro or something to have the age confirmed as Nov 1987 I believe (using the burton power encyclopedia). So does anyone have the address of
who to write to?? and what did you actually write??? Also got a funny number I think cos it starts with two numbers is that normal??? eg. 70HM6015AA,
then on the block near the bell housing 16? and T13 with an NC stamp and 4E22 below. The rocker cover is 72HM6582-AA, 33-68-36. Anyone know which
numbers are which and what they all mean???? Cheers in advance....Oli.

The engine number, 2 letters (year and month) followed by a series numbers (serial number), are what you need for SVA, see table here for details:-
