fule nozzle diameter

In the manual is states that the fuel restrictor much have a hole no greater than 23.6mm diameter.

Whats the diameter of an unleaded fuel nozzle?

I just want to know how small the hole can be.

Is it really an SVA requirement to have a restrictor in the fuel filler? Even if the fuel filler is only accessible by lifting the bonnet?

I'm just asking because I don't have one fitted to the tank in my car, and if it is an SVA requirement, I need to get busy on the Lathe making one!

Oh, and don't forget to allow a bit of clearance for wiggling the filler nozzle around

Cheers

Take a ruler to the filling station next time and let us all know.It would be useful on the new FAQ section that has been suggested.
