so what happens now??

got a MAC in exchange for some speedo data - whoo hoo!!!

now filling out v55 and v627 forms....

On v55 form;

Q5 - make; what 2 letter code do I use? (make is YKC SPORTS)

Q6 - model; what 2 letter code do I sue? (model is FORMULA 27)

Q7. type of body - sports or convertible? (what is difference between them?)

I will be calling local dvla office to find out more but believe I need to turn up with those two documents, some cash and driving licence (for ID).

Nowhere I have read that they need to come to inspect my car - will they decide that when I turn up or what?

Look here for guidance...

The local DVLA man will probably want to see it - you'll have to arrange that with them.

HTH,
David

after navigating several automated menus, managed to get through to speak to someone who surprisingly was able to answer my questions!!!

seems the need for an inspection is decided by the office.

so no prizes as to where I am heading tomorrow....

^^^^ thanks for the link

Question 17. …asks for the Maximum Net Power. This is a ‘Mandatory’ field so it must be filled in.

but on form it says also " Manadatory if available - so how can you tell if it is available or not?

You need to call your local office and find out what they want. They all seem to be different in what they require. You may have to take your car to them for a quick inspection, all they will check is the VIN and engine # match what you have on your forms. And as long as you arrange it with insurance co you can drive it there too.

There was a load of questions on the DVLA forms that i didnt have to fill in. Iwas advised this at the home inspection.

I managed to get in touch with correct person at local office by sending a letter in - she called me the next day. However im sure you will have a strong desire to go in person and join the queue if there is a chance of getting it sorted in one day. my fingers are crossed.

Very well done on getting the MAC. Im chuffed for you.
