Fog lamp

Is there any requirement for a symbol on the fog light tell tale? Doesn't look like it reading the manual but I thought I'd check.

Also should it be wired to work only when side and headlights are on as most cars are?

No requirement for a symbol on tell tale. i just used a toggle with an LED in the end of the lever.

Also doesnt matter if it comes on when the headlights are on or not. Mines totally independent, probably sensible to wire it up so it will only work when the headlights are on though.

No symbol requirement.

When I had SVA the regulation was that it should only operate with dip beam but that seems to have changed now and a lot of production cars have the hazard so it can come on with sidelights, dip and main beam. It should not work with no lights on at all. Best check with the station where you are going for SVA.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
