Got my test date!!

Hello All,

got a phone call whilst I was away, offering me my SVA date. Monday 8th October, afternoon 1.30pm @ Nottingham

excited and nervous now! just need to find a trailer to hire (unless anyone has one I can borrow?)

any hints and tips will be helpful!

(might be on the road for my birthday!!)

many thanks

Hints + Tips-
Get there early
Present the car well
Have all the documents available for inspection
Take a load of tie-wraps, spanner set etc etc as an emergency bodge kit

I still reckon the SVA testers decide within the first 10-20 mins if you're going to pass or at the very least how much they're going to try and help you pass! If you turn up looking like an analy-retentive obsessive perfectionist with a love of thermos flasks they're probably going to be less concerned about checking you've done up every nut properly than if you turn up in a scruffy car smelling of skunk and having left something important like the steering wheel at home....

Warning- the above may contain traces of bullshit.

Hope it goes well Neil.
You should have no problems , it is a well put together car.I take it that you managed to get the speedo sorted and set up ?
It will be good to see you on the road.
