Yes but they muck up your steering. They're quite popular in chavmobiles when they run ultra low profile tyres and go too fast over speed bumps...

Really not a good idea unles you have the steering geared aroun 1 turn lock to lock.

Yes they are SVA legal. But they don't cover up much on the dashboard (SVA compliance) as projected from the wheel itself, that's why most use the Sierra Wheel then swap it once SVA passed.

I thought Allegro was just a quick piece of music... is there another? I may have seen one or two at the classic car shows... other than that it's all a bit old for me.

the austin allegro IIRC had a square wheel cos the designers cocked up the positioning of the clocks so they couldnt be seen through the wheel therefore rather than redesign the dash they jut stuck a square wheel on it and sold it as a feature

Audi RS models have rather nice D shaped wheels, as does the R8
