Wonder why it failed SVA
Car on ebay.
I really can't guess from this pic why this car might have failed SVA.
It surely can't be the chicken wire covered alternator sticking out the top ?

in fairness if i hadnt of come across this site my car would of never passed sva

that what you call build the car around the engine with out changing prob lucky it didnt pass as would get ripped for that

Shame really - the owner has obviously put a fair bit of effort and money into it, but doesn't seem to have been aware of the SVA requirements
(or misunderstood them).
If only he'd been a member of this forum, he could have avoided all those issues (as suggested above).

it has indicators, but you can't see them on that picture, they're right under the headlights.

I'd be a bit concerned that he built the car, but doesn't think he has the tools/skill to correct the SVA failure points.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Guessing from the position of the alternator and dizzy it's an old 3.0 Essex v6

the reason for the chicken wire is that the builder did not want to go over the £ 250 budget!!

Ad states it needs an SVA. It was probs a fail point that he hadnt bothered to get a chassis number sorted before he took it up as well.
£3,000 start - he will be lucky with the way hes worded the ad. It reads like he is totally incoptent and the car is a liability. Would have been
better sayings its an unfinished project requiring finishing off. At least he has been honest i suppose.
Does an SVA fail sheet make it worth more?

Mind you - £3,000 ish for an almost finished ST doesnt sound bad. They are quite a nice looking car when built well - i like the proportions of them.
