We went there a couple of years ago. We hired a car from the airport and toured about, stayed in a b n b where ever we ended up. If you can get out
of dublin theres loads to do about the place. TBH i didnt like it much. we went to the guiness factory and that was about it. £14 quid each IIRC
and a free pint of guiness in the tower thing,, Probably 20 quid now.
Theres various aldi's and crisp factories!!

Dublin is a brilliant city but its not just the alcohol thats expensive - everything is frankly extortionate, hence all the southerners coming up to
my neck of the woods, Northern Ireland! Afaik the cost of living in dublin is higher than london!
Def go see trinity college, grafton street area for shopping, st stephens green park, take a boat trip up the liffey plenty of theatres and comedy
clubs, always live music. Take a bus tour to get u started.
Most of all have some fun and enjoy the craic, i'm sure u'll have a great time!
"oh dear..." said god,
"I hadn't thought of that"
and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic

Hi
well I worked north of Dublin for 2 years living in Carlingford working in Greenore, we (my whole work crew) let off steam almost every weekend in
Dublin.
Scary place at times ? certainly
lovely place ? lovely beyond reproach.
Just be careful what nationality, you say you are as most of the non Celts in our crew used to get trouble, history and memories run deep in the
Republic. But if you fit in you welcomed like long lost family, and are part of one big family almost wherever you go.
Driving, well as you have driven across Aberdeen/haddigan roundabout in a bendy bus on a Friday morning, Dublin will hold no fears for you.
Best thing about Dublin though is the REAL Guinness, anything other than genuine Guinness brewed in Dublin pales in comparison
