tiger wiring
went out in the tiger today before all the rain put the lights on and the fuse went? not a problem put the new one in everything work fine!!
got back after a little burn about i could smell burning had a quick look where the fuses where and the new fuse i put in has melted and did not blow
what could have made this happen bad earth or something??

Some of the cheapo fuses that come with the kit car fuse boxes arent up to high current flow. Pop down to your local factor and get some decent ones.
Or get a handful when you are next down at a breakers yard.

A long slow Overload on the system can cause fuses or any other weak component in the system to melt without blowing.
Is the wireing of a big enough size and all the earths and connections etc good?

think so been checking them today and they all seem fine and size wise it should be ok as is the tiger wiring loom?
the only thing that i can find is that the two reds wires are a bit black from the heat but thats where the fuse melted?

Make sure you cut the blackened wires back until you get good shiney flexible copper again, when wires have been subjected to alot of heat it can
damage them alot further back down the wire than you'd think.

Tis true. If the wires have been heated from the original incident you can get high resistance sections forming. When you then apply electrical
current you'll get heat building up.....

Dose anyone know where i can get the fuse thing like this and what type of connecters is uses as this it the type that went so im trying to get some
spares and connecters
