Fog light switch

I've wired up my rear fog light to the redundant ford wiper switch and included a fog warning lamp on the dash.
Does anyone know if the switch needs to be marked "FOG" for sva. Should this pass?
Cheers
Al.

There's no requirement for switches to be labled at SVA. It will be needed when IVA comes in.

I failed the MOT after rebuilding the Scamp cos the washer and fog lamp switches weren't labelled

AS said above i dont think youl pass an MOT with no labels. Partly cos the tester wont know where it is.

just a thought but isn't it a requirement that the fog only works when the headlights are on.

Not mentioned in the SVA manual (it does say it can't be brake pedal operated (!))

MOT says it can be operated even when lights or ignition are off.

very confusing because technically it's an offence to drive with high intensities on when the weather conditions do not necesitate use of above, and we all know what a pain in the arse it is when driving of a night behind some morron who has left them on from the day before.
