tax disc location
Morning all
Well whilst waiting for the docs to allow me to get the plates made came up with a few jobs to keep me busy.
With no windscreen where is acceptable to mount the tax disc?
Any photos appreciated.
Thanks
Nigel

I drove mine for a year with it in my wallet and never got challenged... once I fitted a screen I out it in the usual place.
Are you a Mac user or a retard?

Common options are on the dash, between the seats on the rear bulkhead or, as I have done, bolted to the side of the scuttle. I used a waterproof bike
tax disc holder from Halfraud's

thats so handy if you leave your car parked and go off to the shops
I use a bike disc holder on the buggy and fixed it to the front wing. So long as you can see it from the front they won't have any issues with
it.
Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet

Ditto - no issues with that or the tiny front number plate or the double yellow lines when I parked outside the local Police Station for an hour
whilst I had lunch in the pub opposite either
Several coppers stopped for a nosey too!

Mine is here. Had no problems over the last 3 years. Strictly, it isn't high enough but it is visible from the pavement on the passenger
side.
Edit to say: The bike tax disc holder isn't exactly waterproof. The first tax disc got a bit wet and the ink ran. Since then I've put
cellotape on the back of the disc before fitting and its been fine.

I used the bike disc holder for about one day as a pikey ripped it off whilst parked up. I now have a photo copy stuck inside the panel with the
original at home
Its easier than fixing the car, phoning the police, posting off new form and paying a fee
But I'm not bitter

while on the topic of tax discs....I received this a few days ago. Although I disagree with some of the terminology I would change the word
'SOME' to 'ALL OF THE'.....

i have always used a (black and white)photo copy as i was adviced this by the police as i had 4 stolen from my bike in 1999 10 years ago and i have
been stoped a number of times but i keep the original under my seat so no problems if im stoped ever.

I have my bike and plastic car tax discs laminated. The bike one lives in my jacket pocket as the bike is eityher in the garage or parked at work. The
Plastic car disc is attached to the keyring for similar reasons to the bike one!

I photocopied mine and put it in the window normally.
You wouldn't belive the amount of people who will try and nick a tax disc!
