2009 Regs and Calendar

Anybody know when the regs and calendar are due to be published? Perhaps its just the usual winter lack of activity playing tricks on me but I'm sure there were draft regs floating around by this time last year?!

I understand that we will all have to have blue flashing lights attached to the roll cage in case there is an accident somewhere on the circuit. Sirens will be mandatory in 2010.

I also understand that the above rule will be added in red then deleted as a silly idea in the official 2009 regs.

Do you think we'll all have to carry a yellow flag in the passenger compartment to wave in case we spot an accident as well?

Good news Matt. In 2009 the marshalls will be awarding points to spinners for artistic merit and enertainment.

I'll have the championship sewn up by the third round!

Edit: Ooops that was meant to go under the points for spinning comment! Now I just sound arrogant! HAHA!

And degrees of difficulty for those behind.

I still wake up thinking of Matt's drift club trial at Charlies 2..........

Hi

All 750mc regs still with the MSA. Hopefully they will be back before chrimbo. I will as soon as i have a copy Stickey them here and on the PROCOMP FORUM.

This locost championship is getting very complicated. Class A for regular locosts. Class B for BIO fuel cars. Class C for Drifting cars. And class D for those who are able avoid the carnage. Not too mention team racing /sharing a car.

It's no wonder the regs ain't out yet with all these new classes.

Cheers Matt

I like the idea of team racing. I once had to drive a Lada Niva (bad enough!) where the driver had the pedals and gear change. The passenger had the steering wheel on his side driving the original column through a figure of 8 chain so its direction of operation was reversed. Fortunately (or unfortunately for the guy next to me) I was in charge of the pedals and gears! How about that for an idea?

Its the pen and ink drawing of the head and pistons that is taking the time.

Plus working out the difference between a twitch and a drift.

Think I can help...

If it doesnt produce tyre smoke... its only a twitch.
If Native Americans respond within minutes with smoke signals of their own, then you've done it properly.

Thats an "assisted twitch"

Or often described as a "punt".

Rich, are you going for a new cage or are you keeping the north sea oil rig platform for next season?

Last time I went off road racing under MSA rules we had to carry flags, have running lights and even a board with SOS emblazoned upon it to wave if we got stuck. What a load of balls!!!

So I suspect it will be coming

Will have to make a decision on whether I swap the BP North Sea cage for a more slimline model, however, I'm not sure that it will have the desired effect as I may just make up for any weight gain with yet more pies.
