Make and model?
I am just filling in my SVA form and got to the bit askng for make and model.I am unsure what to put as I will be insuring it as a Locost do i need to
call it a Locost or can i call it a PF special or something similiar?. I dont want hassle when registering it because it is insured as a locost but
called something else.
What have others done?
My only other dilema is when to apply for a test, the car is virtually ready but dont fancy driving 60 miles in this type of weather with no screen or
heater.Do the recently discussed changes to SVA in march affect our cars? i could not see anything differnt apart from the enhanced regs which do not
apply.

One of my friends just called his car by his surname and added 7 at the end,its whats on his tax disc and log book so it must be ok.
one other i know called his car a "sportster" and thats what the VRO registered it as.

Car Name - don't know, but I do know you CAN phone the right man at the Northampton vehicle registration office and ask him. He's quite
approachable, and it seems like all the final decisions are up to him anyway.
Also I should think the insurers will be happy to change their recorded details.
Only drawback might be that since they recognise locost as a design you might find yourself telling them forever after that your PaulF Special
"is a locost really".
A small price to pay to have your own car name on the tax disc.
Somehow my Ashurst 7 Special ended up registered as a Locost despite the SVA certificate (see below). I must have had a mental lapse filling a
crucial form I guess.
