DVLA want my registration documents before inspection?
DVLA want my registration documents before inspection?
I just called DVLA trying to get hold of my local office, but was told I had to put my V55/4 in by post before they would arrange an inspection - is
this the norm?
I'm trying to get it inspected pre SVA....

This is the UK DVLA you're referring to?
No such thing as the norm then!

I sent my V55 before it'd been SVA'd. I just left out ticking the boxes at the end of the form for attached forms. Just ticked what I did
send (reciepts). I didn't have MAC, insurance and didn't want to send ID documents in the post. I put a note in explaining and the local
office checked them when they inspected the car.
The inspection was before I passed my retest and the DVLA cleared it pending supply of the MAC. Dropped that off the next day and had plates the day
after.
