I was tempted to text him to ask, but didn't want him to crash his shiney new motor becuase of a badly timed vibrating phone!
I've got my fingers crossed for him, in fact when I woke up at 6am this morning (dont you love kids....) I thought about how exciting it would
be to be strapping the car down and setting off to the morning of reckoning!

im here, all is well, just been busy with kids etc.
Failed im afraid, but thanks for all your concern, only a handfull of things really.
Emmisions, but that was one thing i thought i would fail on, had no way of checking it before the test. Spoke to local garage, will let me go down and
see if we can sort it out, will post the readings on Monday, paperwork with car at work.
Speedo out, easy to sort.
Drivers mirror a little too loose, easy sort out.
Wire off handbrake switch needed to be tied back, easy fix.
Passenger headlamp out, but without cover ok, with cover distorted, may not be an easy fix, will speak to GHB geartec about this. Cover seemed to have
a slight flaw when we (SVA man) had a good look at it.
Harness bolts did not have any markings, they came in the kit, will speak to manufacturer on Monday, should be ok, easy fix.
Joe

well its a shame, but sounds pretty reasonable. I shudder to think what my first test will show up!
Have you rebooked? Did this much discussed 6 month window get mentioned?
I think I might eb tempted to drive to a 2nd test if the fix list was as short as yours...
