IVA manual - its out.

Here is the IVA manual for M1 vehicles.

http://www.transportoffice.gov.uk/crt/repository/IVA-Inspection-Manual-for-M1-Passenger-Cars-V3.2.pdf

I see it says V3.2 at the end because I guess it's a modified v3.2?

The ammendment history says version 1.0.0 -Go Live, so it's defo the proper release doc (3.2 being actually 0.3.2)

By the way, I saw this on ebay this morning - made me chuckle. Talk about optimistic

What really wees me off with that is the re-test price.
£90!!!

My re-test took about 2 minutes. The car didn't even have to leave the car park. I showed him the photos of seatbelt mount I'd forgotten at the first test, I showed him the indicator worked (the bulb failed on way to test and had no spare).

2 minutes tops. If I had to pay 90 quid for that I'd be pretty pissed off!

At least BEC builders will be happy that you can still have a reverse function outside of the gearbox.

Something like that would probly be waived:

Please Note : the re-inspection fee is not payable in respect of specified minor items of non-compliance. Details of when the re-inspection fee will be waived will be published on
www.transportoffice.gov.uk and www.direct.gov by 29th April 2009.

I would assume as you HAVE to have an IVA then you dont.

Manufacturers that are volanteering the cars for approval will have to.

maybe??? lol
