Alternative 4 point harness rear mounting
As I have just passed SVA with this method of attaching a 4 point harness I thought I would post a picture. What is visible in the photo is self
explanatory apart from the small, capped, upstand (one on each side) which Andrew, the Carlisle SVA tester, suggested to stop the belt drifting across
the cross bar. The upstands are welded to a flat bar which is bolted up under the cross bar to existing captive nuts that I originally fitted for some
3 point harnesses I originally had fitted. Without the upstands I would have failed the test. The mounting for the ends of the two rear belts is made
of a plate welded across tube O2 and O3 on the offside and O1 and O3 on the near side (book chassis and two seperate plates.) A nut is welded to the
plate and an eye bolt fitted. When I make a boot liner I will enclose the ends of the belts to stop them getting dirty. Andrew said that they easily
passed on the height measurement for the belt mounting as the cross bar is effectively the mounting.

This shows the plate welded to the chassis rails with the eye bolt fitted. The belts are deliberately loose so I could photograph the plate.
