Reciepts or lack of

Hi Guys,

I've recently brought an MK indy project which is about 90% complete however i didn't get any receipts for the build. It was on ebay and I have the listing printed with the pics and a reciept for the purchase of the project and the name address of the guy i brought it off.

Will i have any problems with the IVA application? I'll will have all the reciepts to complete the build

If you are not bothered about a Q plate then no problem.
It is is you want an age related or new reg (everything must be new except one re-conditioned part) that you need lots of different receipts.

not really fussed either way really about having a Q. Just didn't want my application (when i get round to it) to be rejected.

The guy i brought it off was going through a messy split with his wife hence no paper work. He said he will contact me if he get them back.

I do intent to strip the bodywork off just to go over everything so i'll take pics of the rebuild.

Dont tell them you bought it half done.

Take the body off and take some pictures of various bits with some tools strategically placed in your garage.

If you have MS Word or notepad on your pc then reciepts are easy Just make sure they dont look the same.

The main things u need reciepts for are listed on the amater build declaration. Chassis, body, steering, suspension etc.

personally I'd not mention it was second hand at all, your just asking for more complications. I’d not even say it was an MK, just that you built it from scratch.

i think my biggest concern was never being able to get it on the road. There must be lots of people out there in same situation.

I'll get taking those pictures
