engine breathing!

Running a pinto with twin 40's. The engine is a 7/87 model. Can i vent crankcase/ rocker to air (direct) or will i need a catch tank. What will the sva man like to see???

illegal for a vent/breather to go directly to air without some sort of filtration device - ie, catch tank or one of them piper-x breather things - unless its a hgv/psv then the breather can go direct to atmosphere
