Iva and the petrol filler cap
The iva manual says
"Fuel tank filling points must not be located in the passenger compartment or luggage compartment"
I take this to mean you can no longer mount the filler on the top panel ?
can any one confirm this before I cut a big hole in my rear panel tommorow .
cheers

Thats the way i interpret it. I prefer the look of the cap on the rear or (in my case) on the side
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

yeah, you can, as long as there is no floor under the tank.
consider sticking the tank in your boot you tin top. that wouldn't be allowed, but it would if you didn't have a boot floor, if it was
just open
you know what i mean?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I.e if it has no floor then it can not be a luggage compartment..........
Or alternatively box round the filler pipe, its no different to your tin top then, all that will seperate your weekend suitcase from your fuel filler
is a skin of matal called the ibside panel of your boot!

It does say 'in' the luggage compartement, so as long as you don't lift the 'boot' lid to fill up?? - if you have to cut
a hole, would that hole be in the rear panel or boot top???

As long as you don't need to open your boot to find the filler cap it should be fine. The way a lot of people have done it before with the
filler cap on the top panel next to a boot opening looks ok as far as I can see.
