Royal Mail
My registration number and tax disc were put in the post by DVLA Oxford on Monday. Why haven't they mede it to me, 30 miles away in 3 days!

Possibilities:
1. DVLA Oxford did not actually post them on Monday
2. They did post them on Monday and the postal service is "not very good" (replace with own expression as appropriate!)

I know this isn't going to help, but I applied online for a tax disc for SWIMBO's Punto on Monday and it arrived yesterday.

Theres a postal strike on from 8th to the 10th. Aparantly its only London thats affected, but you can pretty much guarantee it will have knock on
effects.
Or it could be that all** posties are light fingered toe-rags that will nick anything that looks like its got some value if its not sent recorded
delivery
**OK, maybe not all, but maybe 95%

Royal mail customer services have arranged a special one of collection for me at no extra cost because the "gentleman" who has my PS3
refuses to walk 200yards to the post office with it unless I pay him 2 hours salary.
I blame the DVLA.

What they probably meant was "put it in the post tray on Monday"
So on Tuesday, it gets collected together, franked and put in a bag, just in time to have missed the collection. So it probably only left the office
yesterday.....

Citizen's advice posted information out to me and it got here less than 24 hours after the phone call, however anything of major importance (tax
demand, letter telling them to f off I don't owe them anything) goes missing 60% of the time.
I go for option 1 here, they didn't post it and companies like that are good at telling me they never recieved the letter while they're
looking at it.
Nailed one of them once the company was local so I hand delivered it, while a mate video'd it. Next week:
"It would appear we didn't get that letter"
"Yes you did I posted it myself"
"I mean it must have been lost in the post"
"Lost in your own post I hand delivered it myself to a receptionist with short blonde hair called Julie"
"........"
"Yeah got you, don't you f**king lie to me ever again got it?"
