Disposal
Hiya guys,
Just a quicky, what is the current thinking on disposal of the donor car? I seem to remember at one point there being a discussion about letting scrap
yards take it but minus vin plates etc...
I can't remember the out come of that discussion thou, or the even find it now.
Oh BTW I'm hoping for either a "Q" or failing that an age related plate.
Who the f**K tightened this up!

I think if you want a Q plate you don't want to be able to prove that the parts came from the same doner.. So I don't think it
matters???
For ours I removed chassis no. ect before scrapping and keeped the V5... as I wanted a age related plate, which I now have.
So to keep you options open I would remove the all id before scraping and keep the V5 and SORN it.. But maybe things have changed...

keep the vin etc, remember a q plate is questionable age but age related can have a private plate if and when the owner wants to change. It can also
aid the resale value
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

True but remember that a "Q" plates emissions for future MOT's are "does the car appear to be on fire"
