front indicators

hi all
can anyone tell me if there is a requirement as to how far back you can fit the front indicators, as i would like to mount them in the mirrors but i am not sure if they need to be at the very front. i have seen the angles they need to face but i cannot see this info.

Simple answer to most SVA/IVA questions as I was told by SVA tester do it the way ford/vauxhall/etc would do it and I'll be happy`

There's no actual measurement in the SVA book and I'm fairly sure it didn't change for IVA.

However it does state, front and it could be argued that indicators on the mirrors, which are about halfway down the side of the car don't constitute "front indicators" but "side repeaters".

I think they'll say you're taking the wee and even if they let that pass, then fail you on every little thing I could find.

There are angles for visibility which must be met and if you are waiting at a junction the mirrors may be too far back or obscured by pedestrians so traffic cannot see them.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
