If I had my SVA booked I would be 'king delighted. I have had the car fully built except the loom, stripped it right down again, blasted and
painted the chassis and I am nailing on ally at the moment... ready for the summer... yeah right!!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

My SVA has always seemed a long way off, however it's now less than 3 weeks (22nd April) away... and already I'm starting to get seriously
nervous.....
I've butterflies just thinking of it.
The only thing to look forward to is the actual drive to the station.

I must say I did enjoy failing my MOT before the SVA, just so I could drive the car again, and the grin factor is brill
I didn't worry too much about the SVA as I knew I had done all I could. Nerves became excitement. I had worked my self stupid before the SVA
and getting up the morning of the test was a right bitch.
I did enjoy the SVA and woulndn't have done it any other way.

Good luck Alister, mines on the same day
Scotlad what you you should get is a call from the SVA station to arrange a date, then a letter confirming the date. If you sent your form in more
than 3 weeks ago then give the test station a bell. Worked for me.

Good luck to all you guys taking the SVA. It's a most enjoyable day as 1) you get to drive your car and 2) you get to drive it back home again
- lol.
But seriously, don't worry too much, if it fails at least you have a list to work to rather than just guessing (easy to say now i've
passed it)

Went for MOT today.
Great to get it on the road.
Got stopped by the PLOD on the way back. No number plate. I wish they would teach them the law. or at least not to talk about things they
obviously dont know anything about.
Anyway couldnt spoil a great day.
Now for the big one in 2 weeks.

I thought you needed to present an MOT certificate for registration? Could be wrong though.
And at least you would have proof if you got pulled again by plod on your way to SVA

No. You dont need an MOT at all, its only for a check over, and a chance to give it a blast
Im not sure now David Jenkins has posted that you require an MOT so Im confused now because I was told it was only a good idea to go for an MOT to let
somebody else see it prior to the SVA.
