Dvla... Too easy?
Just went to Manchester dvla office, had all my paper work checked, paid for tax and had the lady behind the counter agree that my chassis number is
ok!
They took my 175 quid, and that was that!
Next stage is an inspection at chadderton which I'll get a call about in the the next few days....
I was in and out within 10 minutes! Admittedly I'd done alot of prep to have eveything I needed with me, but I'm stunned it went so
well!
I think it really helped gettig there first thing so there was no queues and everyone was still in an ok mood. I was polite and smiley, and it seemed
to work a treat! Might Hague inspection next Tuesday if I'm lucky!

I'll almost guarantee that you won't get a call in the next few days as the inspector, Khaleed, only works Mon-Wed and spends all day
Tuesday sat in the car park at Chadderton.
Have you filed your paperwork with him stating where you got the chassis, engine, gearbox etc from (form 427 I think) then the form that's been
signed to say a garage stamped the chassis number in? Plus he asked me for receipts for the parts I's used or else things looked
"dodgy"!
It then took him 2 weeks to process mine as he was busy and is only really in the office 2 days a week.
It's exciting when it finally arrives through the door though

Awwwwww guys! Burst my bubble why dnt you!
I have filled in the form about where parts came from, and provided receipts for the big stuff and some ofthr small stuff too.
Didn't know he only worked 2 days a week in the office, that's bum.
Oh well, I hope he will be quiet and fit me in quick, here's to hoping eh!

I might just add that after all the hiccups that I had, someone booked me an appointment and when I rang the day before to confirm, as I had lost
faith, the inspector knew nothing of it but I was losing my rag so he said he could possibly squeeze me in at around half 3 ish I think it was. Anyhow
my dad and uncle had to take it and they weren't waiting in traffic so they went around half 2ish and the inspector was sunning himself up in
the car park and was all alone so I would suggest to you that he's quite flexible with his timings so don't be getting worked up with him.
Inspection only takes minutes I believe.
