SVA and Harnesses??

Hey up.

On another thread (MK Escort fail points) barrie brought up the issue of a provision to hold back harnesses when not in use. It is highlighted in the SVA manual... has any one had problems with this for the test and how was it over come??

barrie`s throught was to velcrow down the harnesses or tuck them behind the seat.. i suggested that the hearnesses are buckled up and tightened to hold them to the seat??

i see a reason for this so that they dont flap out of the car and catch some one but how hard are the testers on this issue?? its not as if the harnesses will move about much and especially not out side of the cockpit!!

any ideas guys??

cheers Bob

I think the main worry is that the belts themselves would get damaged if they just flop around.

I'm working on the basis that when they're not in use they'll be done up and out of harm's way. We'll see what Mr SVA says when the time comes!
