Time limit between DVLA inspection and IVA?
Last year I had a week off work to get some bits done on the car and I figured that would be a good point to get the DVLA inspection out of the way.
However, since then the DVLA have been chasing me to get the IVA as they have had the file open for too long.
I responded and asked why this was an issue and he agreed to give me an extension otherwise I may well have to have a further inspection.
Has anyone come across this before? I only did it in the first place to keep them happy and not cause bother with my own made up VIN.

i believe some people have been bugged for it before. just tell them how long you think its going to take you to finish the car then they
shouldn't pester you until that date

You are lucky - my local office would barely talk to me ahead of the SVA pass...!
