can you unclip them with one hand in a single movement? I believe thats the criteria.

I have some from tiger with the standard inertia type buckle which seems to fit the bill.

It would help if you let people know what the harnesses are so they could answer. But generally, harnesses are fine if they have a standard production car release on them and not the aviation / racing car style.

Those look like they are designed for saloon cars and will therefore have long shoulder straps which won't work in a seven. You need ones with the anchors only just behind the shoulders, usually sold as either 'single seater', 'Caterham' or 'Westfield'.

Certainly worth asking the seller to be sure.

Never understood that, 'race' type 4/5/6 point harnesses must be safer than a three point and just as easy to undo with one hand (probably easier), mine goes through an MOT with 5 point harnesses OK, not sure about IVA though.

ok contacted seller and no E mark, but shoulder strap goes down to 23 inch from the lap belt so should fit in a 7 type car? they open in one movment and are FIA approved up to F1, my car will be mainly for track use so good safe belts are a must but still not sure if they will pass IVA, so once again has any one had a pass with belts like this ? or any recommendations race type belt that will pass IVA

IVA is going to be even more expensive if you don't download the free manual.

The SVA manual was worded as "The locking mechanism, i.e. the buckle, when both under load and not under load, can be released by a single movement in one direction by either hand." which some testers took to mean a linear movement was the only one acceptable, other testers allowed for a rotation (so long as it wasn't one of the press button and rotate type).

IVA wording is the same.

So you're taking a risk on tester interpretation with any kind of rotation buckle unless VOSA head office have clarified it now.
