More brake line worries

Gentlemen.
I'm really sorry to ask this as it has been asked dozens of times, I was even reading a related thread last week but cant find it now.

adjusted my toe out today ready for SVA, while under the car I thought the brake lines got a little tight on full lock, or more specifically the radius of the bend got quite tight.
Now I can remedy this in two ways.

(1) By running the flexi (Goodridge) through the top wishbone and securing it to the bone. But am I correct in thinking this is a definate no no and the brake lines must run free and not contact the bones lock to lock?

(2) By connecting the flexi direct to the calliper. (presently connected via a bulkhead fitting and bracket mounted on the calliper into a standard flared copper brake pipe) However I think read somewhere that connecting flexis to callipers was bad practice, is this true?

I've tried to descriptive so your answers can be brief!
Appologies for asking you to repeat yourselves.

Many thanks

John

Plenty of production cars have flexi hoses connected direct to calipers, would have thought connecting direct was o.k. hope so , thats how mine are done . Rusty

Its ok to connect a brake pipe to a caliper if you use the correct fitting -- one with a copper sealing washer.

Connecting the flexy to the wishbone is acceptable as long as the flexys are designed long enough.

Lotus did this with the 340R and that made type production.

I'm planning the same idea using two rubber lined Pclips.

Note P clipped brake hose on upper forward wishbone.

All the best Dan.

Thanks chaps,
Got it sorted now and done a fine job though i say it myself.
Moved the bracket with bulkhead fitting onto calliper mounting bolts so the fitting is dead center of the hub. Result is very small amount of movement of the flexi on lock to lock. Used some nice cable clip things that 'nick' got me from work to attach to the upper bone just to make it look proffesional....

Thankyou for the replies
John
