Side Repeater/Indicators

Rather than fitting front indicators with storks on the nose cone of a seven, could you not just fit indicators on the front wings providing they had the required visibility from the rear and would you still need side repeaters?

I was thinking of fitting the ones below from CBS

Your comments would be appreciated.

IVA would still require side repeaters (min of 2 side repeaters must be fitted, Table 1 page 184 of pdf manual)

I am not sure if the front indicators are allowed to move with the steering.

Nothing in the manual to indicate that this is the case, if the indicator can still be seen throughout the reference "angle of visibility" when on full lock, not a problem, e.g: the left hand indicator must be visible 45° from the right.
Although, when you start to turn the wheel you are traveling in the direction you are indicating anyway

a lot of american pickups and suv's have indicators built into the door mirror so they can be seen from the front and back, they have an arrow in the glass of the mirror for the rear view, most are red, but a few are amber, i'm wondering if some could be adpted to work as mirror/indicator for a 7 because of the problem with field of view everyone seems to have with iva, just a thought, a search on ebay.com for "mirror turn signal" should show a load of examples
