Immobiliser certificate for iva
I've got a transponder immobiliser i'm going to fit to my indy to satisfy mr IVA man. It's a cat 2 immobiliser but it didn't
come with any certificate. Do i need one that shows it was fitted by an approved installer for the IVA?

I think that section was removed from the IVA manual so you should be ok
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Hi,
I didnt need one - I thik its been removed.
ou will still have an alternative security devoce as well as the ignioton key.
If you leep the sierra steering column some people use the steering lock.
Some peopl put aswitch or key somewhere to act as a master switch.
Cheers

Careful if the master switch is the battery isolation type - you need to be able to use the hazard lights even with it 'off'.

You do not need a certificate for IVA, it was removed a couple of revisions ago. As has been said: you do still need two methods of immobilizer
though, - ie ignition key and immobilizer.

Ignition key and steering lock should be fine.

Thanks everyone. I'm not using the sierra steeing lock and key. I'll be using an on/off ignition key switch and this transponder
immobilier so i should be ok.
