vehicle inspection report
Afternoon all, been a while since ive been on here, well im finally getting round to getting my Indy IVA'd.
I have a form that was sent to me from the DVLA when i applied for a vin number the form is a V627/1 or a "Built up Vehicle inspection
report"
The form requires me to sate any serial numbers of the major components such as
-chassis
-Axles
-Transmission
-steering assembly
-Engine
-Suspension
Now i know the chassis number as obviously thats the vin, but axles would that be the diff / driveshafts?
transmission would be part of the engine as its a bec so assume thats covered by the engine number
Steering assembly i cant find any serial or id numbers on either the rack or column so not sure with this one all my parts were part of a donor pack
from MK so no documentation of the donor.
The form also asks me to state wether i have recpiets, now my engine came from Malc which obviously means i dont have a reciept if i state no recpiet
will they question this when the DVLA do their inspection. Basically i dont want to fill the form in wrong and make problems for myself later down the
line. Any help or advice would be much appriciated!! Greg

The form is most relevent if you're trying to get a new reg', for which you have to prove that you've used new parts. Just fill in
the bits you know (chassis and engine number) and leave the others blank.
